FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Real answers to the questions Florida families ask before reserving a kitten, from price and health screening to delivery and avoiding scams.

Buying and Reserving

How do I reserve a kitten?
Tell us the style you love, and we match you with an available kitten and share photos, videos, and health records. After a short family screening, you reserve your kitten, and it is personally delivered.
Do you screen families before placement?
Yes. Families are screened before placement so each kitten goes to a prepared, suitable home. This short conversation helps us match the right kitten to the right family.
Can I see photos and videos before I reserve?
Yes. We share photos, videos, and health records of available kittens before you reserve, so you can see your kitten and confirm the health screening story.
How do I know a kitten is really available?
Availability is confirmed when you inquire. We share current photos and videos of the specific kitten, and a team member personally accompanies delivery so you meet your kitten in person.

Price

How much is a kitten?
With prices typically starting around $2,000, the cost reflects health screening, veterinary health certification, and personally accompanied delivery. The exact price of an available kitten is confirmed on inquiry.
Why do purebred kittens cost what they do?
The cost reflects ethical breeding, HCM screening, PKD-clear lines, veterinary health certification, vaccination records, and personally accompanied delivery. Responsible breeding is an investment in health and care.
Is the price different for each breed?
The exact price depends on the kitten's breed, color, pattern, and stage of development. We confirm the price of an available kitten when you inquire.

Health

Are your kittens health screened?
Our British Shorthair and Ragdoll breeding cats are HCM screened, and our lines are PKD-clear. Every kitten comes with full veterinary health certification and vaccination records.
What health records come with a kitten?
Every kitten comes with full veterinary health certification and vaccination records. You receive these at handoff, and we can share records before you reserve.
Do you guarantee a kitten's health?
We provide health screening, veterinary certification, and vaccination records, but no responsible breeder can guarantee a kitten will never develop any condition. We are transparent about what screening does and does not promise.

Delivery to Florida

How does delivery to Florida work?
A team member personally accompanies your kitten door to door from our Maryland cattery to your Florida home. We travel with the kitten the entire way and hand it to you in person.
Which Florida areas do you deliver to?
We serve Florida families in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Jupiter, and Orlando, with delivery to all 50 states from our Maryland cattery.
Do you ship kittens?
We do not ship kittens alone. We use personally accompanied delivery, meaning a team member travels with your kitten and hands it to you in person.

Breed and Care

Which breeds do you offer?
We place six core breeds: British Shorthair, Scottish Fold, Ragdoll, Maine Coon, British Longhair, and Scottish Straight. See our kitten styles to compare colors and patterns.
Which breed is best for families with children?
Several of our breeds are gentle and patient with children, including the British Shorthair, Ragdoll, and Maine Coon. The best match depends on your home and lifestyle, which we discuss during family screening.
How much grooming does each breed need?
Short-coated breeds like the British Shorthair need weekly combing, while semi-long and long-coated breeds like the Ragdoll, Maine Coon, and British Longhair need combing two to three times a week.

Avoiding Kitten Scams

How can I tell a real cattery from a scam?
A real cattery shares photos, videos, and health records, welcomes your questions about HCM screening, and uses personally accompanied delivery. A price far below market and pressure to pay by wire are red flags.
Is it safe to buy a kitten online?
It can be, when you verify the cattery, see the kitten live, confirm health screening, and use personally accompanied delivery. Read our guide on how to spot a kitten scam for the full warning signs.
